Our Mission
Saving Children Across Nations (SCAN) serves vulnerable and underserved children and youth in the United States and West Africa by providing access to education, wellness resources, creative development, and community-based support.
We address systemic barriers such as poverty, lack of educational opportunity, environmental neglect, and limited access to holistic care that prevent young people from reaching their full potential.
Through integrated programs including youth development, mental health and wellness initiatives, environmental clean-up campaigns, creative arts engagement, and workforce readiness—SCAN delivers measurable outcomes that empower children to thrive, strengthen families, and build resilient communities.
Who we are
We are Saving Children Across Nations (SCAN).
We are builders of futures where children are no longer forgotten, silenced, or left behind.
SCAN exists because too many children are born into circumstances where they did not choose poverty, displacement, broken systems, war, neglect and are then expected to survive without support. We refuse to accept that as normal.
So we act.
We step in where gaps exist.
We show up where resources stop.
We protect potential before it’s lost.
At our core, SCAN is about restoration of dignity, of opportunity, of hope.
We believe every child carries purpose.
Not someday. Not “if given a chance.”

We serve orphaned, displaced, underserved, and vulnerable children and youth across nations, with a strong focus on Africa and underserved communities in the United States.
But more than that, we serve future leaders.
